二语写作中主位推进方式实证探讨

主位推进是达到英语语篇连贯的重要途径之一,能够使我们所写的文章前后连贯,脉络清楚。本文以主述位以及主位推进理论为框架,采用定性与定量相结合的方法,研究中级和高级水平英语学习者写作实践中所用的主位推进模式的异同,探讨不同主位推进模式对于语篇连贯的影响以及产生异同性的原因,在此基础上对二语写作的提高和教学质量的优化提出一定的建议。本研究随机选取中级和高级水平英语学习者作文各30篇,统计作文中各种主位推进模式的频率,分析其中的相似性和差异性。同时,探讨主位推进模式对语篇连贯的影响,并且以层级突显假设来解释出现异同性的原因。经过统计和例证,本文得出以下结论:(1)中级和高级英语学习者在主位推进模式的使用上是相似性和差异性并存;(2)相似性表现在:两种水平语言学习者都对主位同一型推进模式有着明显的偏爱,也就是说,主位同一型在他们的作文中占有最大的比例;两种水平语言学习者都比较喜欢使用跳跃型和延续型推进模式,其中表现于两种模式在他们的作文中占有比较高的比例;两种水平语言学习者都很少使用述位同一型推进模式。而差异性表现在:在延续型推进模式上,高级水平英语学习者的使用频率远远高于中级水平语言学习者;而在模糊跳跃型模式的使用上,高级水平英语学习者的使用频率却远远低于中级水平英语学习者;(3)主位同一型,述位同一型,延续型和交叉型有利于语篇的连贯,而模糊跳跃型影响了信息的连续性,不利于语篇的连贯;(4)中级和高级水平语言学习者作文出现的相似性和差异性符合层级突显假设。【关键词】：主位推进模式中级水平英语学习者高级水平英语学习者语篇连贯性
