新课程背景下高中英语词汇编码对策教学探讨

2003年《高中英语新课程标准》的实施,提出了英语教与学两方面从语言能力向语言运用方向转变的要求。学生阅读能力的培养在高中英语教学中的重要性越来越突出,传统的一些教学方式碰到新高考的挑战。很多教师把大量的时间和精力投入于阅读练习上以扩大学生词汇量,但效果并不尽如人意。因此,本文尝试将英语词汇编码策略应用于高中英语词汇教学中。词汇教学自从上世纪七十年代以来逐渐得到语言教学理论的重视。然而,很多词汇教学策略难以运用于中国高中学生的客观实际情况,比如学科多负担重,缺乏合适的阅读材料等等。本文从词汇的三个主要要素一音、形、义出发,提出相对应的编码策略,促进学生听说读写技能的发展,同时该四项技能进一步提高学生词汇编码策略。实践表明,词汇编码策略教学可以大量节约教与学的时间,能提高显性词汇学习的效率。本文鉴戒心理学、认知心理学记忆理论,以及语言心理学的双语语义表征及其通达机制理论方面的成果,选定以学生词汇编码显性学习为切入点,深入研究如何在新课程标准背景下实施高中英语词汇编码策略教学。进行理论探讨之后,作者精心设计了实验加以验证。选取了泉州市奕聪中学高一两个自然班90名学生作为实验对象,进行了为期8周的教学实验。其中45名为实验组,采用英语词汇编码策略教学；另45名学生为控制组,实施传统的词汇教学法。通过两次测试和问卷收集信息,并用SPSS10.0统计软件进行统计和分析。实验结果表明实验组学生比控制组学生的词汇成绩有明显的提高,词汇编码策略教学在词汇教学中的作用明显。【关键词】：新课程标准英语词汇编码策略显性学习
