不同阶段中国英语学习者动名搭配行为探讨

本研究对中国英语学习者动名搭配行为从三个不同发展阶段,即高中、大学非英语专业和大学英语专业阶段进行对比分析。本文旨在揭示处于不同学习阶段的英语学习者使用动名搭配的特点。对应三个不同学习阶段,本研究以中国学习者英语语料库(CLEC),中国学生英语笔语语料库(WECCL)和自建大连海事大学语料库为基础重新组建了高中、非英语专业和英语专业三个学习者语料库。本研究运用语料库驱动的研究方法,重点考察he,do,make,get,learn五个有代表性的高频动词与名词的搭配特征。作者以三个学习者语料库为基础,参照两个本族语语料库BROWN和LOB,对这五个高频动词与名词搭配特点,从使用搭配的多样性、典型性和正确性等方面对比分析,进而揭示出中国英语学习者使用动名搭配的特点。研究表明,与本族语者相比,三个阶段中国英语学习者均表现出过度使用这五个动词的倾向。非英语专业阶段学习者所使用动名搭配的形符数量和类符数量都多于高中和大学英语专业阶段,但前者呈现明显性差异,而后者没有明显性差异。就搭配的典型性而言,三个阶段学习者典型词语搭配的使用频率较低,在代表词语搭配典型性的T值和MI值方面与本族语者存在很大差异。从各动词搭配的形符正确率来看,非英语专业学生正确率最低,三个阶段呈现出“U”形的态势。从搭配类符的正确率来看,随着学习者语言水平的提高,他们所使用搭配种类的正确性虽里上升趋势,但进步程度未达到明显性差异。基于上述结论,本文讨论了该研究在教学中的意义,即如何根据中国英语学习者的具体特点来进行词语搭配的教学。【关键词】：动名搭配学习者语科库不同阶段
