初中学生英语学习动机调查

动机研究在外语教学中极为重要,学习动机决定外语学习者学习外语的努力程度和个人介入学习的积极性,对外语学习起着至关重要的作用,是学习成败与否的关键因素。外语教学的成败除了涉及学习环境、自身的语言学能、教师的教学风格及水平之外、还牵涉到学习者本身的情感因素。动机就是其中的一个重要因素。初中是中国学生学习英语的关键时期,因此,对于初中生的英语学习动机研究对英语教学实践具有重要的意义。第二语言的学习动机既受内因影响,也受外因影响,激发学生的学习本身就是比较复杂的过程。只有全面了解影响学生学习的的内因,外因以及他们影响的强度,才能真正了解学生的学习动机。为了找出在初中生英语学习过程中起主要作用的动机类型以及影响初中生英语学习动机的因素,作者对100名初中生进行了问卷调查和非正式访谈。希望从教师和学生两个方面发现初中生缺乏英语学习动机的原因并针对这些原因提出有效地应对方法。通过对问卷和访谈结果的分析与对比,作者得出以下结论：(1)外部动机中压力因素对初中生的影响较其他动机因素大；(2)内部动机各因素均对初中生的英语学习产生一定作用；(3)烦闷的课堂环境,教师模式化的教学方法以及学生的不良情绪和低效率的学习方法都是影响学生学习动机的原因。通过分析研究的结果,作者总结出以下策略来提高学生学习动机：创设真实有趣的课堂环境；改进教师的教学模式；帮助学生克服不良学习情绪；帮助学生形成有效的学习方法。同时作者也指出了本研究的局限性,并对后续研究提出了建议。希望能创造更多有效激发学生学习动机的方法。【关键词】：英语学习动机初中生动机策略
