二外法语实词磨蚀探讨

语言磨蚀作为语言习得的逆过程,在国外已经有三十余年的研究历史。近几年,国内对语言磨蚀的关注越来越多,但大多研究并未深入到语言磨蚀的词汇层面,在实证研究中也很少关注英语专业学生的语言磨蚀情况。而针对英语专业学生的二外法语的磨蚀现象,至今还鲜有研究涉猎。鉴于此,本研究采用横截面研究方法,通过法语词汇测试和背景调查问卷等方式探讨英语专业学生在二外法语实词层面的磨蚀情况,旨在揭示英语专业学生二外法语实词磨蚀的趋势、特征和顺序。来自中国石油大学的90名英语专业学生参加了本研究。数据分析显示,二外法语的实词磨蚀现象不同程度存在,其趋势与Ebbinghaus(1885)遗忘曲线类似。按照词性、音节、与英语关联性等标准分类,本研究发现名词、双音节词、与英语同形异义或异形同义的词更轻易磨蚀。另外,二外法语实词的磨蚀顺序也验证了Jakobson(1941)提出的“回归假设”。基于上述分析结果,本研究得出结论:法语实词磨蚀存在差异,且磨蚀顺序是习得顺序的“镜像”过程。据此,本研究对二外法语实词的实际教学提出了相关建议。本文最后指出了自身的不足并对将来的研究提出了建议。【关键词】:语言磨蚀二外法语实词磨蚀英语专业学生
