英汉恭维语跨文化与语用模糊比较浅析

恭维语是一种礼貌的言语行为,是说话者对听话者具备的良好素质或拥有物显性或隐性的赞美。之所以选择恭维语作为本文主题,是由于在人类的言语交际中,它应用范围广,使用频率高。汉语和英语中都有着丰富的恭维语,他们起着问候,鼓励,致谢,打开话题及缓解矛盾等作用。但是很多研究都表明,这一言语行为并不像看上去那么简单,它实际上涉及到社会文化的很多方面。每个民族都有不同于其它民族的文化和语言,不同的语言受到各自文化的影响,其恭维语因此也具有本民族特有的表现模式和内容。恭维语在功能,对象和制约因素等方面都有所不同,呈现出鲜明的民族特色。中西方属于不同的民族,因此在恭维语的使用和应答等方面存在着诸多的差异。对于中西方恭维语的研究引起中外学者们的广泛关注,以往的研究大多数是基于语义层面或者是基于有限的语用层面。在一些学者的研究基础上,本文拟从跨文化和语用模糊角度对英汉恭维语的语言形式和应答进行对比分析,阐述出语用模糊在英汉恭维语构成中的作用以及对恭维语作用的完善。通过分析,我们了解到在跨文化交流中,只掌握语言本身是远远不够的,更应该熟悉语言背后的文化及其差异。因此本文还分析了在恭维语实现过程中由于文化差异可能造成的误解及原因,这对于从事外语教学和研究以及跨文化交流都具有重要意义。【关键词】：跨文化对比语用模糊恭维语恭维应答
