Good morning , I’m ZHangxiang. I’m Im very pleased to he an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas.Today ,I’m going to talk about the story of Xi Wang. My topic is made up of ten parts. It includes ten parts.

一、Teaching material analysis

1. Lesson type and contents. Today I’m going to talk about the reading part of Unit4, Oxford English 8A. I’ll finish the part in two lessons. This is the first period.

2. Status and function

This lesson is a reading passage. It plays a very important role in the English teaching of this unit. By studying this lesson, Ss can improve their reading ability.

二、Analysis of the students

They he some abilities of reading, listening , speaking and writing. But, they are not active in class any more. So I integrate information technology with my course.

三、Teaching objectives

①Knowledge objectives
a)To study something about wild animals and its living environment.
b)To guess the main idea of the passage.
② Ability objectives
To improve the students’ ability about skimming text for main ideas and scanning for details
③ Moral objectives
Enable the Ss to protect wild animals.

四、important points and difficult points

1.Teaching important points:

To reinforce Ss’ ability to skim text for main ideas and scan for details.

Step

1. Warming-up

Share some picures with my students and play a guessing game.

2. Pre-reading

We’ll talk about our forite wild animals.

3. While-reading

Skim(Read and match.)
1) I’ll ask the Ss to read the article again and match paragraph orders and the main ideas together.
2) I present some new words and some phrase and learn together.
Intensive reading
This part is used to train the students’ ability to skim text for main ideas and scan for details.

4. Post-reading (Practice)

Finish the exercises and check the answers one by one.

5. Production

Let Ss work in pairs by making up a dialogue between Miss Panda and Mr Tiger .

6. Homework

Retell the passage.
